Log 6: Ticks, HIT Gains, and the Agentic Future

Life Updates & The Tick Incident

It’s been a while. Work has been rewarding but draining.

I tweaked my neck yesterday. Called in sick and did some contrast hydrotherapy with sauna/pool which felt amazing 🤌😘🧑‍🍳.

Last time I checked in, I had gone on a camping trip with the in-laws. We saw deer, porcupines, and monkeys. I even brought home a souvenir: a tick. Had to take a round of antibiotics from the drug store just to be safe.

Going on a vacation soon to a beach villa here in Thailand, and then to a nearby conservation sanctuary where they have elephants that roam freely. Hope we'll get to see them.

Protocol: High-Intensity Training

My workouts have been locked in. I’ve been reading Mike Mentzer's manifesto, "High-Intensity Training the Mike Mentzer Way." The philosophy is simple: 20 minutes in the gym, one working set to absolute failure, then GTFO. Go eat 3,500 calories, sleep, and repeat 3-4 days later.

The efficiency appeals to me, and the numbers don't lie. I’m seeing huge gains in my ability to move weight:

The Lab: Proxmox & Privacy

Getting back into my Ubuntu Bitcoin/XMR Node and Proxmox box to update and get more apps running. It had an uptime of 110 days last check, but it needs fresh deployments.

The Agentic Wake-Up Call

I’m currently writing a guide on OpenClaw. It seems silly at first glance, but what people are entrusting it to do is alarming.

This guide will be a wake-up call for "normies." As the "Henry" video circulates on X, people are starting to realize what Agentic AI is actually capable of. While that video is staged and dramatic, it represents a massive jump in capability. We are moving from chatbots to agents that do things.

Guide dropping soon. Stay tuned.
