Log 5: Camping Prep, Carnivore Plans, and Podcast Dreams
Christmas is over. New Year is approaching.
It's nice to have some time to slow down and think. To process the year behind and plan for the year ahead.
Camping trip soon. Going to Khao Yai. Really went all out out on preparation. Guess that's just my Boy Scout training kicking in. "Be Prepared" and all that. Bringing my sister-in-law, mother-in-law and father-in-law. That should be interesting. Will figure out the food menu and logistics tomorrow. Guess I'm the quartermaster for this trip.
Getting a Bangkok belly from all the carbs and seed oils. Going carnivore with the wife for 90 days starting Jan 1. Stopped doing push-ups while I rehab my wrist. Pausing my work-out regime over the holiday.
Thinking about launching an interview style podcast called "Sovereign: A Podcast by Expatriotic". Been thinking through possible guests and how to structure the podcast. What questions to ask. I know what I don't want it to be. A podcast about Bitcoin. But it would probably be a podcast interviewing Bitcoiners (Including people who use Monero which we all know is what Bitcoin should have been). Who they are beyond their narrow interest in Bitcoin. Would love to get metaphysical. Bring back some of the vibes from early days Tales From the Crypt when it was based. I wish I still had my podcast mic, but I left it in Indonesia. Not really wanting to buy a new one... Maybe I can get by without, but I hate to make people endure bad audio. It would be a hobby. I would not be planning to edit heavily or invest money. It would not be a business enterprise. Just a way for me to have conversations with friends and interesting people.
PSA: If you want to read my logs when they are published. Get yo-self a nifty RSS reader. This is the technology that powers podcast feeds (unless you use the data-mining nightmare that is Spotify, erg). And it doesn't rely on spamming your inbox which seems to be the modern (and let's face it, awful) way to receive updates about a website or blog.
