Log 4: Wolverine Peptides, Gesha Coffee, and Manjaro Repairs

Got up to 60 pushups a day but pivoting to doing wrist rehab at home. Doing some isometrics, squeezing rice, opening hand in a bucket of rice, gentle wrist rotations. Also planning to get some peptide injections (BPC-157 and TB-500) also known as the "Wolverine" from a reputable clinic here in Bangkok.

For my squats, I took too much time off and had to work up to my 70 kg 5x5 lift, which I did clean last Friday. Today I shoot for 72.5 kg. Worried that with the holiday coming up, I'll have too many rest days again and be set back. But that's life.

Trying to get my supplement game back on. Ordered creatine, collagen (+vit C), ZMA (zn, mg, B-complex).

Splurged on some Panamanian Gesha beans and enjoyed trying to dial that brew in this morning.

Feeling pretty bummed about how isolated I've become from my family. My brother was here in Bangkok but now he's relocated to Alaska and no longer uses Signal. The American urge to use SMS is baffling to me... Unencrypted. Plus, your telecom provider can store, read & share your messages to whomever.

I have zero intention of going stateside for the foreseeable future. No appeal.

Growing pains moving to Manjaro from MacOS. I updated my OS (914 packages) from the GUI and "bricked" it... Now need to roll back to a prior Timeshift date. To update > 200 packages you need to reboot and enter the TTY interface prior to entering desktop. And use pacman first before updating AUR or flatpack packages. DON'T UPDATE GUI WHILE IN THE GUI! https://forum.manjaro.org/t/howto-updating-manjaro-as-safely-as-possible/147536

See my post on how to unbrick your Manjaro computer and safely update.

PSA: If you want to read my logs when they are published. Get yo-self a nifty RSS reader. This is the technology that powers podcast feeds (unless you use the data-mining nightmare that is Spotify, erg). And it doesn't rely on spamming your inbox which seems to be the modern (and let's face it, awful) way to receive updates about a website or blog.
